Surroundings Chateau Labistoul is situated close to the village Saint Marcel Campes in the rustic neighbourhood of Cordes sur Ciel, one the most beautiful Bastides with the most crafts kept in whole of France. In the week of the 14th July, is the town transformed in a medieval fortress with real knights on horses. Everyone is in costumes those days. There is a real falconer that shows his arts and there are demonstrations of old crafts. The environment has a lot to offer, hills with sunflowers and vineyards, beautiful views with here and there a Pigeonnier (Dovecote) in the middle of the sunflowers. You can make some nice walks and for the more sportive people under us there are some mountain bike routes. There is also a ‘Tour de Bastides’ with which you can visit all the medieval villages with the car, and enjoy of the products of the region that they offer. Cordes sur Ciel lies at the foot of the Forêt de Grésigne, a 3500 hectare large forest. The climate of the Tarn is Tempared by the influence of the Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea. The predominant wind comes from the west and brings mild and humid air, while the north-east wind rather dry and cold is. The temperatures are soft in the Tarn, the average number of rain days (not more then 10mm precipitation) is 22 per year, especially in the winter and in April. There are more then 2100 hours of sunshine. The Tarn is the most wooded department of France.
