Renting Château Labistoul:
It is possible to rent Labistoul entirely. Labistoul is suitable for 12 persons and if you rent the Gite as well you can stay with 21 persons.
This Château has its origins back in the 11th Century  as found by the large watch tower next to the farmhouse and there is evidence that the property played its part in the Cathars religious wars in the early 12th Century. The property also has a second tower dating back to the 14th Century. The grounds surrounding the property are mainly laid to lawns with original walled and vegetable garden areas as well as a ‘lavoir’ and a ‘source’.  A large lake offers recreational fishing and boating. The swimming pool : 12m x 6m runs off a salt system.
From the main entrance one enters the property via the 14th Century tower up a stone staircase to a hallway, off which is one of the main salon’s and a cloakroom. Off the music room is a large living kitchen/dining room with double aspect windows, working fireplace with beautiful tiled floor, original stone evier and beams with door on to upper balcony overlooking the courtyard and double doors leading to
Salon/Study with grand arched picture window. This room has a handsome chestnut floor with double doors leading out to the upper balcony again overlooking the courtyard.
From the upper entrance to the property, the entrance double doors lead into salon / music room with original built in armoir, wood burning stove and wooden floor.
From the music room a staircase leads up to 3 good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the eves of the building with poplar wood flooring.
The large dining room has a double height ceiling with impressive oak beams and many interesting features have been maintained such as the original pigeonnier openings, old terracotta tiled floor and there is an unusual corner Italian wood burning stove as well as a long picture window in one elevation. This room has under floor heating.
From the entertaining room a staircase leads down to 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with their own entrance out to the courtyard.
